So far I have shoveled snow twice today, first time 5 inches, second time 6 inches and it is still coming down..... ;D How many people are planning on staying home tomorrow ?
I certainly am not going to Dearborn tomorrow. Yeah SNOW DAY !
This stuff is very sticky too.

I just came inside about 15 mins ago from shoveling and I'll tell ya this...Even though I'm in relatively decent shape and stopped smoking three years ago, I had to take about four breaks while just doing the driveway and sidewalk. That has got to be the heaviest snow I think I've shoveled in many many years.
Thanks God my morning commute is simply walking from the coffee pot to the workshop downstairs ;)

I got told not to come to work today. Cops said they might be telling people to stay in or they will be arrested we will see though. supposed to get a inch a hour soon up here.
-
Yeah, this is how I remember snow storms used to be when I was a kid...I made a killing shoveling everyone's driveway..
-
We were told to work from home and not attempt to drive to the office. Works for me. Not wanting a commute over 2 hours one way tomorrow.
-
The snow was up to my dogs neck in parts and she's no small dog. Closed up early at work and got stuck driving home. So much snow!!!
-
2 cars got stuck, turning by my house, while i was out blowing snow tonight. Have to work tomorrow. Thank God for all wheel drive.
-
i shoveled my parents driveway for them today, twice. after i was done this evening they asked why i didnt use the snow blower, i had no idea they got one. fml

Me, my sister and my father in the morning were out shoveling and then my father had to go out 2 other times after that. There at least 12" on our deck. :o

I was driving in it most of the day... 11:30am-9pm , with breaks at Sam's Club, Pruess & Best Buy. I'll also be at work tomorrow. It's not THAT bad IMO, just gotta drive a bit slower& watch out for idiots. I'm sure I'll be curled up in bed after being outside all day tomorrow tho.

That was there way of payback ! All the times you didn't take your shoes off, left dirty cloths all over, wrecked their car while fiddling with the stereo at the wrong time (oh wait I did that).
I could hear them now, Hunny do you think we should tell him we have a snow blower ? Naa, I want to see him sweat some more ! LMAO ...

All these snow shoveling stories brings a benefit of living in a bad neighborhood to light.... plenty of dope fiends around to shovel me out for a 5spot. ;)

If not for the need to travel beyond the house, I think the snow is great! Been a while since I've been around so much, but it brings back memories of the time I spent living in Houghton in the UP.
I've shoveled around the house 4-5 times today, but it's hard to tell aside from the tall mounds of snow underneath all the new snow. The paths are all gone. This morning, clearing 6" from my 550' drive took what seemed like forever - tomorrow will only be worse. I'm also starting to run out of good areas to pile up snow with the tractor.

AWD sure makes a big difference. I also put snow tires on my talon and performance is impressive, but it has limited ground clearance. It'll plow snow until it gets as high as the top of the hood, but it's not fun to drive long distances doing that.

You have a tractor! Lucky...

I'm a member of that club to bud lol. I remember when I was a kid I backed out of the driveway right into a car because I was messing with putting in a Guns and Roses tape into the tape deck :o :-X Took about $1200 worth of quarter panel and paint work to get that Bronco II back into shape.

Hahaha! I've got you beat tho, maybe not money wise, but definitely dumbass wise.... I once pushed my dad's truck over our mailbox while stealing his truck late one night. (He was a light sleeper,so we'd push it out & start it down the street)

Got stuck this morning leaving the girlfriends in the Focus~! Absolutely brilliant!!!

I lived in Marquette for college. On spring break we got 3 feet of snow for record snow fall in one night. First two days of our spring break, the roads were literally shut down.

I hate snow.
Luckily, I just know how to drive in this crap even with a small car!
Thanks you front wheel drive!! Drop my Saturn down into third, take advantage of the traction control, rev up a few extra rpms and made it to work an hour and a half early last night and stayed an hour and a half over this morning. (Yay for extra hours and extra $$)
Now to sleep and hope for someone to magically shovel/snow blow/plow my driveway while I sleep!!
(Hey, a girl can dream!! Can't she?)

Well just got back in for my 3rd go around, this time the snow was a lot more powdery. But it WAS bitter cold out this morning. I figured I go out early before the real bitter cold set in.

There's a reason I moved away from the UP. Obviously I didn't move South enough. Haha I grew up just South of Marquette, and went to Michigan Tech.
