I like to build things. Tank stands mostly, but all with borrow tools. Its fun for me and makes fish keeping even more fun IMO. I often see tanks for sale that don't come with a stand. This leaves me thinking "man, if It only came with a stand." So I borrow the tools and make it happen. Well...
My housekeeper bought me a drill/ circular saw (2)lithium battery kit by ryobi. You know, the cool green one. My Gf bought me a ryobi compound sliding miter saw with a laser 8) ;D :D :) Now when I get my new house, I can make me a fish room :) SO Excited!!
Did anyone else get/ give anything fish-keeping related?

Got lots of goodies this year. Far as fish related I got a Penguin 200 filter, 24" algae scrub brush, 10" red colored large net, couple bottles of Florish excel, Lifeguard Digital temp alert, digital Ph tester, some wood for the pleco holding tank, $20 gift certificate to Royal Tropical and some declor bottles. Probably the best gift isn't directly fish related but it is in a way because it is going in the office right next to the 265g tank...My sister&brother-in-law and Niece&Nephew got me a 51" Plasma TV 8) 8) 8) Now with the big tank on one side and the 51" tv on the other any work in the new office will come to a grinding halt! ;D

Yeah, but the Tv has been SOOO much trouble the past 48 hrs. Not the Tv itself but the cable company. Having probelsm getting it hooked up with the STB. Made 4 trips to comcast in the past 12 hours, been on the phone with support for a total of 3 hours, got a bad STB the first time, getting the run around about a service call saying they can't make it here till Jan 2nd >:( Finally told them I was feed up and would switch back to wide open west if a tech for Comcast is not at my door in 24 hrs (that got me an apt now for 2-4pm tomorrow by telling them that).
I'm been so stressed tryin to get this dang thing working that my BP is through the roof right now. I could lift a car at the moment! lol

I was lucky enough to find somebody giving out a 60 gallon salt water tank with cabinet and 15 gallon sump/refugium for a great price... Free! My fiancee was out of town for a couple weeks, and knowing she's wanted a saltwater tank for a while now, I decided to keep it salt water instead of converting it to freshwater. I set up the tank, wrapped it up, and awaited her return. She loved it, and once the cycle is complete, the fish will slowly trickle in!
