Very cool, I like the Red Caquetia. Don't think I've seen them before.

Yeah, they are one of my favorites. I especially love the bluish pattern under the reddish body.
The are supposed to be very difficult to get off of live food therefore many people shy away from keeping them.
Personally, I have never noticed a problem and had them eating frozen food within 1-2 weeks after I imported them.
I once brought in a pair for a friend of mine and he had them for quite awhile without any success.
He is a very experienced fish keeper (with lots of ray experience) and asked if I wanted them back because he didn't want to keep feeding live black worms.
I had them eating frozen within a week.

Nice looking rays.

Hmm why do you think he couldn't switch them over?

It's not just him, I have heard that many people have trouble with that species for some reason.
-
So basically you just had that "touch" for whatever reason with them.
Edit- just realized how much of an invite that was for a Jeffro comment. ;D

I guess so :-\ :-\ :-\

Ok, I was wondering because I've never kept anything that I had to switch over. If fact it has deterred me from keeping a few species.
-
I did/do have a system for switching them over though so it wasn't just luck.
I even explained my method in detail but for some reason only I was successful.
