I have no idea if this will be fun or work at all but I'm gonna give it a shot and see how it goes.
Rules:
-Cichlid only photos
-One person posts a picture of a fish, doesn't necessarily need to be your photo or you fish but please be 100% on the species. If it is not your picture please say so.
-Members attempt to guess and the poster confirms and denies, please keep in mind if you have a photo up try to be semi active. Feel free to give hints. I may skip a fish if people are guessing and the the poster is not answering I may also step in confirm and deny to the best of my ability if the poster is not active and I know the fish.
-Please do not post a photo if you cant check the forum at least twice a day. Roughly 12 hours or so should be max. This doesn't need to be a full time job or anything but lets try to keep it moving.
-Once a photo is correctly identified and confirmed the poster of the picture will go back and edit the picture with the correct species name, where the photo came from, who guessed it correctly and the time when it was confirmed.
-The person who guessed correctly will receive one point on the leader board and have 1 hour from conformation to post there own photo.
-If the member who has the correct ID fails to post a photo with in the hour time frame anyone can then post a photo to be IDed.
-Please only one photo up at a time.
-This game designed differently then some I've seen on other forums where there is 10 photos up and people guessing wildly and others confirming and denying incorrectly. It will move at whatever pace we set depending on interest.
-scientific names or common names I'll leave it up to the poster what name is accepted
-discussion and tips are fine but lets try to keep it game related
-Please no hybrids
- a pace of a photo a day would be fine, more is better though of course!
-Only the first person to guess correctly will earn a point. You have to wait for conformation from the poster or me until you can post the next picture picture. You don not have to wait for points to be updated.
This is for fun, no prizes or anything just bragging rights. I will attempt to mod this as best I can with out moderation privligaes and update points regularly. If there is interest and the game is active maybe prizes monthly or quarterly or whatever but will play it by ear. Also I just came up with the rules on the spot so feel free to PM with ideas or suggestions to make the game more fun.

This is a white lip mdoka. I am going to bring some in from Germany next year.
-
If replying to multiple responses let's try to keep it to a single post otherwise wise were going to go through tons of pages. Example three wrong responses and the correct response before you check the thread but them in a single post to avoid clutter.

Sweet! I've heard of a few in state (MI) before but haven't seen fry circulate through at all. I'm guessing you'll be able to get them breeding and help increase their popularity here. :)

I came across that one a few months ago when I was looking into getting something more unique in my tank. Its just random that you put that pic up out of all the lesser known and more rare cichlids. I didn't think k I would know any of these.
