Title: Med size Tropheus
Post by: four_by_ken on December 16, 2013, 11:24:45 AM
Looking for a med to large Tropheus of some kind.  I lost my Chimba Red.  He was always to small to eat the larger pellets... until recently and I think he ate to many.   :'(

So, I am looking for something in a size that could eat a med size NLS pellet and be ok.

Some people swear it's not but I think that it's the NLS. I can only feed about 25% Max per week of my trophs normal diet or it starts causing issues.

I make my own food for the most part for my Trophs so much garbage out there with soy flour( a waste of space)  Appox mine 80% Spirolina 8% pea powder 8% kelp
3% brewers yeast 1% paprika and garlic .

I use a Formula that is Designed for marine herbivores Made by Ocean Nutrition! it's Awesome!

been using it for years now with absolutely no issues. its a food that you can switch to cold turkey! Although it's best to feed any new food lightly.

Which I can also attest to that that doesn't matter with NLS. At least not with me for some reason. it will be fine for a little while and then BOOM, dead fish. so I'm done losing fish to food. I started using it again for about a month or so and out of no where, I woke to a dead WC Bulu Point and it wasn't aggression or any other excuse. it was Deff the NLS.

Just my experience. To each their own!  ;)

The tank that I want to put it in... the same that my other one was in... has all kinds of fish.  I would have to feed a lot of flake food to fill them up.

Sounds good!  I will be driving from Hamtramk to Capac (I94) next week a few times.  Maybe I could stop on my way home and pick it up?

 Ken,

I hope you're not upset that I sold those Ikola. Just couldn't wait any longer. No Biggie.

Anyway, I have a WC Bulu Point and WC Lufubu that I'm looking to find a home for if you're interested?
