Post by: mightieskeeper on January 21, 2012, 04:46:26 PM
I changed my tank aqua scaping.  Put in about 200 lbs of rock.  This is the before picture (http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp172/ryancpeake/IMG_7198.jpg)  This is the the new look. (http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp172/ryancpeake/photobucket-3612-1327095554164.jpg)

Looks good.

One thing I'd tweak is picking up a 3 plant that's as tall as the others to set out in front of the intake. Close enough to hide the intake from view, but set out a little so the poop/etc isn't too obstructed when it comes to getting sucked up the intake.

Really nice, are those just regular bricks in there... And there safe in the tank, did they affect the ph or anything in the tank?  :) 8)

Tank Stats.
90 gallon all glass tank
filtered using 2 Aqua Clear 110s
tank is lite with a single T8 bulb 65k
Occupancy is 1 hybrid texas cichlid aka "little fish"

Ron I hate the location of both of the plants and want to buy replacements anyways.
Auratus little fish will grow old and problay die in that tank before I need to catch him.

Hey Ski. Yes they are building bricks. I have used them for a couple years.  I have never noticed a ph increase but my water is over 8.

This weekend I changed my mine about all the rocks in the tank.  I took about half of them out.  I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I Like the first and last pics. I bought those type of plants from Hobby Lobby--you also-??-they can make a tank decor look good!  8)

The plants came from Joann's.  I sold this tank a couple weeks ago.
