Title: heaters

looking to upgrade some tank heaters to lower energy cost.. looking for ideas and brands... heating 2@55,1@135,2@29,2@5,1@10with cichlids...&1@150 with discus and angles..
Or do i bulid a room.and then heat that room...

If space. I'd build a room. Failsafe incase heaters burn out/ you add more tanks won't cost more to purchase heater and continue to heat.

FWIW, "upgrading" to save money isn't really possible. A watt is a watt.

The tipping point in heating the room IMO is when you've reached a point where the tanks you currently heat, when all placed in a room, hold the room temperature well enough that you can add another tank without a heater, yet have it remain warm enough. Once you reach that point, you can pack the room full of tanks with no extra heating costs!

If you can heat the room... thats the way to go.

Thanks for.the info as of right now i.can't heat the room. but going.to build a room..
