Fish are an obsession for me! However, there is always one thing that stands in the way between me and buying fish: PET STORE PRICES! Does anyone raise, or know of anyone who does, fish in the Lansing area or Northern Michigan area? I am really looking for Frontosas, Flowerhorns, and Discus, but any other beautiful fish are hard to pass up as well. I would be interested in hearing what people have or can help me out with. I guess the main thing is I am looking for beautiful fish at good prices! Please let me know :D!

On here. You can try greatlakesaquaria.com also. For fronts try Ron Tecklenburg he normally has mobas for pretty cheap and will bring them to auctions if need thats what you would like for him to do.

Catch your own fish or better yet make your own out of common house hold items ;-)

Frontosa, discus , and flowerhorns. You pay for quality. Now frontosa you can buy the less rare carients for less money and actually get some neat stuff. Don't buy cheap discus you'll get imperfections. You can get cheap flower horns at petsmart. They will look cheap. You get what you pay for.

Good luck on finding Discus breeders in Michigan. They are like Hobbits almost impossible to see.

Nailed it hahahaha. I got a guy out here who has them spawning but isn't moving his butt fast enough to pull them do the other fish eat the eggs. Oh well he will get it sooner or later.

Define good price.

Anything priced at what the fish is truly valued at. Anything better than pet shops.
