Title: WTB new 24x18, 36x18, corner tank, etc
Post by: linuxrulesusa on November 07, 2013, 11:42:43 PM
Just had a tank leak (trying to figure out why later) but for right now I want to find a replacement I can pick up tomorrow.   Fish are in a 15g for the moment but that's an overnight solution.

Where's the best/cheapest place to get a new tank that has dimensions 24x18, 36x18, or similar corner?  My max width is 36 and max depth for now is 18-20.  The table is 36x36 but I'm not sure it will hold a tank that big with that much water in it.  I'd like something 30-40 gallons, open to slightly larger. 12" height minimum, closer to 18" height is better for viewing.

Right now I'm looking to buy new given that I'm already dealing with leaks I don't want to mess with this again in a week.

I'm trying to find something under $100, preferably closer to $50.

Thanks for any suggestions.

False alarm.

It was condensation from the glass lid dripping down the side through a slight flaw in top trim, then dripping out the bottom trim at a seam where the trim had been removed when the tank was resealed by previous owner.

I drained the tank fully, filled it back up, no leaks, and the only water when it was drained was a little around the trim.  I also checked all the seams and they all look good.

My mistake.  On the bright side, it was a good excuse to rearrange the plants and catch out some fish that were not fitting in.
