Title: Compatibility Question?
Post by: Ciesl2ja on October 22, 2013, 01:42:03 PM
Hello everyone,

I have a group of Gold Occies that has about 20 or so sub adult members that I am housing in a 30 long. I use sand as a substrate to encourage digging and such and the fish are really fun to watch.

I was wondering if I could introduce a pair of Triglachromis Otostigma into the tank as well as some PVC pipe for them to tunnel into. I have never heard of these fish so they interest me greatly. If anyone has any experience with them please let me know your professional opinion :)

Thanks all,

Jessica

The Triglachromis will dig a lot, they may end up burying your shell dwellers.  Not sure about aggression, I keep mine in a species tank.

I am thinking once I get my 55 going with my paracyps I will throw a couple pair of these guys in there too :) I dont want them to bury my shellies alive. Is a 55 big enough for two pair?
