Title: Jack dempsy
Post by: RichE on October 20, 2013, 12:49:29 AM
I know they are a run of the mill fish, but it was the first cichlid I ever owned. We'll today I got about 10 that are 4-5" and I couldn't be happier.

I am going to set up a display tank just for them.

The little things in life make my day:)

Congrats! That's cool Rich, I hope it turns out good. They do have nice colors.

You have any left from me? I didn't manage to keep any from that enormous clutch. Curious to see how they're turning out.

I got rid of all my s/a and they were in that bunch but I just picked up some jd's at the auction since they are still my favorite fish and I am going to see if they pair off :)

I haven't kept them in decades, but went snorkeling with them in the cenotes of Mexico, and came back with whole new attitude and respect. I hope to pick up a group of wild type one day soon.  Little video.
