I was thinking it would be nice to see what kind's of cichlids people are keeping on this forum. I do realize that some of you keep more than one type, but please vote for the type that comprises the largest part of your collection.

I have mostly done malawi but starting with some vics too.
Currently breeding from F1 Met. zebra Kawanga gold and F1 pund. nyererei Mwanza
while growing out Copadichromis trawavasae mloto Likoma, Copadichromis borleyi croc rocks, and Paralabidochromis chromogynus piebald to breed from.
Also have a tank full of Placidochromis sp. Jalo fry from which I've already sold off the breeding group.
Others I've done in the past few years are Met. estherae, Ps. saulosi, Ps. socolofi, Ps. williamsi, Cyno. afra cobue, Aul. OB peacock, Aul. stuartgranti Hai Reef Blue Neon, Ps. acei, Labidochromis caeruleus, Labidochromis chizumulae, Iodotropheus sprengerae, Ps. daktari, Met. red top galireya, zebra obliquidens, Pund. crimson tide, Cyprichromis leptisoma, and Neolamprologus maultifaciatus

That's a pretty long list of fish you've bred, and here I'm starting my first species.......

Yeah I was competing for the "Rookie of the year" award and ran a lot of species through my tanks for a bit there. I do regret getting rid of a few of them. I had some killer OB red zebras from Oyer. They were the deepest red and best marked OBs I can ever recall seeing. I haven't seen anything like them since.

I'll take that to heart and not rush to switch out what I keep. I do find it interesting that some in the hobby move from species to species fast, while others fall in love with a few and stick with them. Only time will tell on which side of that coin I fall on.

Should I modify the voting type so that everyone can click all that they raise?

I keep mainly Malawians, though I've always got a few cats (S. eupterus and S. multipunctatus right now) and a tang or two (7 stripe colony and N. pulcher "Daffodil" at the moment).
