What is the purpose of locking a thread that has a good discussion going on about what fish to mix in with Peacocks.
I dont see the reason for closing this thread? No like it was a train wreck.... there was good conversation going on in it.
:o

They are the mods and they made a judgment call. If you or I were to ask them to lock a thread, wouldn't you like them to consider that request seriously?

Ken
I asked for it to be locked, as I have decided what my stocking plans are going to be, and now I want to turn to asking more "tank" related questions. I know how threads can get de-railed quickly so thats why I asked Marty to lock it:)

;) I like to switch out my fish often too, but you have me beat.

Rich had asked me to remove it, which I generally don't like to do (unless it's completely jacked up or objectionable). The alternative was locking it, which I did. If Rich has no objections, I can unlock it to allow further discussion, makes no difference to me.

I'm fine with whatever... but just that thread wasnt all about Rich.
People read the forums and learn from it all. It was another descent thread about not mixing everything together.
I just wish I would have researched more before I went all gung ho and bought anything that was flashy. Live and learn.
By reading a thread like this, someone could see that... Hey! I better watch what I put with Peacocks, or else I am in trouble.

And really... I dont think a thread should ever be locked unless it is a for sale item that is no longer on the market... or if the conversation has taken a bad turn.

I agree with Ken, the original Post wasn't about "me " per say, since I was going to being asking questions about the tank and not the stocking that's why I thought it was a good idea to lock it. I see Ken's point, it was a good topic that was on track and people might want to contribute to as others get larger tanks:)
If you want to take the original post on my second thread and add it to the original post I feel that would be a good idea, I was just trying to to avoid taking up to much room on the frt page :)

No I'm actually having a lazy day. I haven't done anything other than setup an extra 75gal & mess around on the internet today.

This sounds like a recipe for trouble.
Also what is 'ruff' (http://michigancichlid.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?topic=1265.msg35143#msg35143)? ;)

Merged and unlocked, nothing to see here, carry on. ;D
