Title: Angel Fish egg question
Post by: RichE on October 05, 2013, 04:41:03 PM
I had a pair of angels Pair off and lay eggs on a piece of driftwood in the community tank, well they are very protective , so I took the driftwood(with the egg's) and the 2 parents and put them in a separate tank.

What should I do next?

Make sure you have an air stone with a good flow.  Add some Methylene Blue, enough to change the water a good blue color.  If your pairs did their job some may hatch.  Keep same temp as parents.  Sometimes it takes several spawns before the parents get it right.  Good Luck

No they were eaten by the parents. I have them in a seprate tank since I know I have a female who lays eggs, I just don't know if the male is shooting blanks ;D

I will keep trying, as I love the looks of these angels
