I didn't want to add this onto the other post so I started a new one...
What are you supposed to do with all the "crumbled" flakes that remain after you have depleated all the larger flakes while feeding your fish?
These "crumbled" flakes are too small and just get suspended in the tank.
I have (2) plastic bins from Wet Thumb with about 25% of the flakes that are now "crumbled"

Fry food

Thats what I use it for as well, I have heard of people compressing it into cubes also and using it that way.

I use it for fry food, works out great.

But I have only Male Show tanks.... ???
So that is how one gets sucked into the breeding thing !
But "honey" I have all this extra crumbled food left over, Hey I know, I could get more tanks and start breeding....

Fry indeed.
I've tried on two occassions compressing it back into larger pieces and it was an utter mess both inside and outside the tank.

I was wondering if there was anyway you could wet the food, spread it out, and make pellets.
-
IMO if you're going to try to reuse it to make more food, it should be used in some sort of gelatin formula.

Nope, and that was perhaps a large part of the problem!
Gelatin just seems like a filler though and I wasn't sure how healthy it'd be for the fish, thus I didn't use it.

I agree, I think you just have to use a minimal amount.

Isn't gelatin, at least the higher quality stuff, made from animal protein?
