Well its been done and running now for several months so this post is a bit past due. I built the stand from 2x4's not sure if it was the lumber or my floors or just human error but it didn't come out 100% level so I used some card board shim materials I had at work to level it out.
I built the sump out of a 35 gallon long I picked up at a yard sale for 5 bucks with one end cracked. I replaced the broken side 10 bucks for the cut glass and resealed it. I then put in aqrilic dividers, drip tray also recycled from work. I euro braced the inside with glass I cut from a pile of 1/4" panes I got at an auction for 3 bucks. I built 1 1/2" overflows at each end of the tank coming together into a 3" collector and dumping into the sump.
I had to reseal the 150 before putting it to use because the silicone inside was flaking off when touched.

Looks good.
Ahhhh the classic fish tie ;D

Yes the fish tie was a gift from my sister inlaw. This is the stand layout. And my wife wanted curtains instead of doors so I made them too.

I had some left over veneer so I converted a broken down piano bench into a steam line matching coffee table.

Nice. I love projects where I can do it myself (like little kids say) and just get my hands dirty.
