Work move brings me back to Mi after 16 years up and down the East Coast. My little guy Marcus (10) and myself are the primary fish keepers in the house but my wife claims at least one tank as hers..
We currently have 3 tanks with fish, plus 2 (10g) ready to go, and we still need to pick up our 90 and 36 (currently set up at my father-in-laws - he's fish sitting). There is a 56 column among the boxes in the garage ready for water and two projects (acrylic) 24x24x24 and (acrylic) 30x30x30.
Fish we currently have are:
Foss Rostratus
Phenos (Tanz. Stars)
Syno Multipunctatus
Syno Pertricola
Cyps (Blue Neon)
Yellow Labs
Protomelas "Imperial"
Deep H20 Haps
Lethrinops "Red Cap Chirwa"
Giant 8 year old pet Oscar
We had to downsize when we moved, but I am sure it will grow again..
I certainly hope we get a chance to meet some of you. Great website - takes the sting out of leaving my Capital Cichlids group behind in DC.

Welcome. I used to live in the DC Area before I was into cichlids. You should feel at home here...fish wise anyway.

Welcome back to the Great Lakes! Let me know if I/we can help you out. There are some great LFS (Local Fish Stores) in the area. Check out the "LFS Review" section of the forum. It may help you find them.

Glad you found us and welcome to the forum. For just a few tanks you've got a nice collection of species!

Thanks.. we have been keeping African Cichlids since we lived in Jacksonville (10 years or so), but we have had tanks since I was in HS. Got hooked when I had some Kribs that bred for me, then fell in love with Syno Multipunctatus in the early 90s. Then they were very expensive. I vowed I would not other have a small army of them someday.. but that I would breed them too.. LOL It took me 20 year or so but SUCCESS! The job moves really upset the collection, but we haven't lost any fish during the move. We tore down 11 tanks, and slowly getting back in the groove. Huge thanks to my father-in-law for fish sitting.
I look forward to meeting everyone..
