Our meeting on October 4 2013 is featuring Mo Devlin
His talk will be about the photo shoot he did for Seagrest farms & will begin at 7:30pm
An avid cichlid enthusiast, Mo currently maintains close to three thousand gallons of fresh water tanks. Over his thirty years in the hobby he has successfully bred many of the Central and South American cichlid fishes.
His passion for cichlids is well complemented by his love of photography. With aphotographic background that started in 1973, he has made the logical step toward digital photography. His contribution to the hobby through his on line "Today in the Fishroom" series has motivated hobbyists in the U.S. and throughout the world on enjoying the beauty of the cichlid fish..
Mo is on the Board of Trustees and the Publicity Chairman and for the American Cichlid Association. He maintains his own website, Aquamojo.Com.
Our meetings are held at:
Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke Utica, Mi 48317 (at the corner of M59 and Van Dyke)

In case anyone is wondering I asked Marty to change my handle because I felt silly meeting people in person using my first aol account name from 20 years ago, lol

Now I need to find a good camera :P
I really like my older Nikon D40, I did a lot of research before I bought it, seems to be a really good basic camera to learn with and you can find them really cheap on Craigslist, especially if you find someone selling a package with a few lenses. I haven't learned how to do much manually with it yet because the auto seems to produce great shots
