Title: Synodontis petricola breeding
Post by: Kaia on August 26, 2013, 06:32:57 PM
Picked up some clay pots and want to give this a whirl. Anyone breed them? I was unable to find marbles let alone dark marbles. Any tips or suggestions for success?

Look at Joann Fabrics or Michaels they almost always have bags of marbles.

I've been stuck with my daughters all weekend....  there's plenty of marbles here, but I've lost them. ;)

Does it have to be a true round marble? Or can it be those flatter glass beads? How big do the petricola need to be to breed?

I would imagine that the round ones would work better to avoid crushing the eggs as you remove them (the marbles).
