I'd like everybody's opinion on this tank's seals.
Would you fill it up & put it in your upstairs bedroom?

No I wouldn't put it upstairs with that seal.

No I would not put it upstairs with that seal.
Well, would you put it upstairs?
Edit - I meant downstairs
I guess dealing with whole mess has me a bit frustrated. Especially since the seller is busting my balls about correcting their F up.
-
She just said she wouldn't.
I wouldn't take a chance with a tank that size.
-
At some points it looks like there is no seal, and the rest look like they're heading that way, but it's hard to see too much from the video. If the any seal is in question, I go with no.

Looks like someone did a really half butt job on it. I wouldn't trust it even with a test fill. the seams look to be too white like the silicone was either done when it was humid out, they didn't let it cure all the way before filling it, or they just didn't know what they are doing.
Big tanks like this I wouldn't take someones word for it especially when it looks this rough. It looks like sections of it are missing or just really thin? Whoever did it next time take some really fine sand paper to get what silicone is left on it after scraping it off with a razor.
I wouldn't trust it as fish room quality even. It just seems like there are too many people trying to make a quick buck off of selling fish tanks and related items I get at least 4 calls a day of someone wanting me to buy something they have. Mainly I would look at the seal between the 2 piece of glass.

@llinuxrulesusa: Exactly! lol
I'm with everybody else. It looks way too risky.
-
I wouldn't trust it. I'd definitely re-seal that if I were gonna buy it
-
I'm pretty picky about used tanks. Unless the tank is holding water when I buy it, or the seals looked next to perfect.... it's not for me.
So, that being said... I would get the tank resealed.
-
Next question..... Would you sell this tank to somebody you consider a friend for the standard used price of $1per gallon, while telling them the seals look good?
-
Looks like a rodent lived in it. Chewed up the silicone.

And if that's the case... even more reason to silicone it as it probably hasn't held water for a while.

LOL

I think the rodent is the guy that sold it to him..... >:(

Uh... no. I'd sell it for half that as a reseal project me thinks.

Really its just from eatting glitterTo some people a sparkley turd is a pile of gold.

Blair - You've made your point. I'm now locking the thread, because I can see where this is going.
