Title: Pond plants
Post by: Regalblue on July 26, 2013, 09:57:53 PM
Who here has a pond going with plants?  A friend just set herself up a pond & is looking for some plants,  but I'm not sure Which to point her to.  When asked-  what kind of plants?  Her response was "All kinds"

Try craigslist.  There was a guy earlier this year selling some cheap.

I have cat tails (they stay small) irisis ( purple flower)  and lilies (white flowers)  that pretty much always need thinning, and periodically a plant called lizard tongue (long white flower),  BUT I live on the west side of the state.  my son from Livonia visits periodically and could bring them back there.  I can let you know next time he's coming this way  or we're heading there if you don't find any locally.  price can't be beat -- free. I really hate throwing them on the compost pile.

That'd be awesome.  Please LMK when you can get them over to this side.
