Someone up here came and got some fish from me today, and asked if i was intrested in a Spotted Garpike? They say its about 12 inches long. Anybody have any experience with these. Or keep them now. Thanks... ??? ???

Yeah thats what they said. The kid said pike on the end. I don't know... I think im gonna get it from them. They said i could have it. FREE... Why not right.

They grow 20"-30" long. It'll require a very big tank and will eat a lot. Unless you fish and can catch small panfish for it at some point, it'll get darn expensive! There's a reason it is free.

I will have to do some more checking. The kid said that it is a "spotted garpike" i am unsure. Im wondering are they like most fish, and would grow slowly to the size of there environment. I really don't know, did some looking yesterday. I had the thought of getting it, and trying to sell it off, or trade it off. I guess right now they have it in some rubbermaid tub. They don't know much about it either. Thanks for the input Ron. I really appreciate it. I love this site.. I need to be sure of what it is first, then find out more.
