Are there any other plecos that I can put into the same tank as L144 plecos that will get along, won't cross breed and won't eat the L144 fry?
If I can't put other plecos in with them what would be good? And not eat my baby L144s?

If i'm breeding, The only thing in the tank are the breeders.......... I've seen guppys pick on fry.
20 tank one pair, 55 i'll do say 15 with alot of caves. Good luck.

On a related subject how would one setup a breeder tank for Gold Nuggets
I won a nice one at the fall auction.
Don't on if it is male or female I am sure he does
By the way how do you tell?

Not sure what an L144 is but I am going to Google it as soon as I'm done typing this reply. I'd try something Ancistrus. I've bred 2 types of Ancistrus with other Plecos in the tank, but the other Plecos did not breed. Keep the caves as far apart as you can.

Okay, Okay I should have Googled before I replied. I would have then known that L144 are Ancistrus, :o duh? Try something of a Pleco species other than Ancistrus.

I don't believe L18 or L81 Gold Nuggets have been bred in captivity.

My 144's are with small commons no problems yet. Any reason you want to put a bunch of different plecos together?

Gold nuggets have been bred once in captivity read that on planetcatfish.com

maybe bulldog plecos or rubber lip pleco same pleco they have a few common names out there but they'll get along with BN Plecos.
