In our peacock tank, we have an albino brostlenose that has been in there a long time. It is about full grown, and is doing great.
In the same tank we had a Blue Panaque. I notice it was kind of beat up. It hid a lot, so it got it kind of good. I took it out... but it was too late and it died a few days later. Really bummed me out as it was my favorite pleco.
Now, I noticed one of our synodontis, about 4" long... and the larger of the two in the tank was beat up BAD (missing fins, one bloody). I got it out and is doing ok in a hospital tank. The other smaller one is totally fine.
Possible that this is from the bristle nose? I dont see any of the peacocks chasing... the only other is a redtail shark that I cant see being the culprit.

it's got to be your redtail shark. I never had a bristlenose pleco beat up any of my fish. redtail shark can be nippy.

Yep, the red tail sharks are known to be aggressive.

Really... never would have thought it. :(
I'll have to take a picture of the syno... get got beat bad. Never would have thought a redtail could be THAT nippy.

Red tail sharks have a reputation for picking on other species if there are not a few or more other red tail sharks in the tank to focus their aggression.

All is good in the tank still. I think the redtail heard us talking. ;)
