i have three red top fuelleborni in my 125. 1 male, 2 female. the smaller female is getting the crap kicked out of her by the male and the larger female. i pulled the females thinking maybe i messed up and got a male marmalade cat in there by mistake but the larger female doing the chasing was holding. so its definitely not a marm cat. i know a lot of time males are hard on females but this is the first ive seen a holding female chase another female so aggressively. i pulled the larger fem to another tank so she can get a bit of strength back after spitting for me. (i couldnt even tell she was holding) after i did that the small beat up female seemed fine in the main tank. the male hasnt fussed with her at all. im far from knowing everything and im learning new stuff all the time, but do fuelleborni mate in pairs not trios or something? im a bit baffled by the fem on fem aggression. i took pics of both females and vents in case i missed something. i dont know a darn thing about venting though.

There will always be a pecking order, it doesn't matter if your tank is nothing but females. There will always be somebody in charge. ;)
