I was seting up a new tank and in the process I gess one of my females was holding and on the move back she spit.. now I have babys with the sack still one them first time and not knowing what to do now..
-
How much sac is there? Half fish, half sac?
-
they atemp to swim around..
look like a fish just has a round sack on the bottom / hind of them
-
Do you have a smaller tank, like a 5 gallon you could move them into?
-
yes I do I have some other babys that were given to me in there they r realy small still didn't know if I could put these in there also'
-
If they're not a similar looking species and you have nowhere else to put them, I'd say put them together for now until you can find another spot for them.
-
r they gonna make it? and when do I start feeding them?
-
Don't feed till sack is gone.
-
I have them in a bolow with very lil hiles in it flooting in my lg tank that mom and other fish r in..do I need to put them in something larger?
-
That should be fine as long as they can't be sucked out through the holes. Maybe put a little filter/sponge material on the bottom of the bowl to prevent other fish from getting at them. You can feed them crushed flakes/pellets once the egg sac is gone.
