Title: 10 gallon stock
Post by: Sean on June 01, 2013, 05:59:20 PM
Will be freeing up a 10 gallon tank, and I was wondering what types of cichlids i could put in there. I was thinking about Julidochromis marlieri. Any other types that you can think of? or preferably something that i could breed in there? and where can i get some?

You could do shell dwellers like multies or brevis.  Multies are pretty cool shell dweller.  For julies you would have to stick with a pair of the ones that only get 3", but still think a 10 gallon might be too small for them.

I will probably be doing the brevis in a 5 gallon, but maybe i will look at the multies. Would julidochromis marlieri breed in a 10 gallon?

If you are interested in multies let me know.  I have a whole colony that has exploded and needs to be thinned down.  As far as julies breeding in a 10 gallon, I am not sure.  I have mine in a 75 gallon and my new group is going into a 30 gallon.

Alright, I might take those and the brevis pair off your hands. I'll let you know sometime next week when I have some extra money from my paycheck. PM me a price on both of those please
