I am looking at rock for my fish tank and would like some conformity and I was looking at patio stione is it possible to use Patio stone or brick for a tank also should i look out for anything when i go to buy such as color or sheen to the material?

It's hard to know what might leach out of them; probably better to go with actual stone of some kind.

I would stay away from patio stones, as some are sealed from the factory and some are mixed with stuff thats notfish friendly.
go with fieldstones natural stones or slates

You can get sandstone pretty cheap from a landscape place.

Try Angelos on 8 Mile they have some nice sand stone.
