Nice going. I always had horrible luck with small groups. I finally got a dozen or so and put them in a 120 with lots of rocks; now I have a colony going! I get some fry, but only intend to tear it apart 1-2 times per year to get fry out because it's a lot of work.

I now have aprox 25 in 55 gallon, breeding like Rats.i have to tear it down every two weeks or so.
-
have you bred other fish before? i heard demasoni can be somewhat A-holes to their own kind. have you had any issues like that? Congrats on the holding female, demasoni are sweet looking.

I have been breeding for fun for about 15 years or so... Im not sure how many different species but i heard the same thing about these guys... All has been true the male just chases everyone around, i had to take him out here and there to give the ladies a break lol
-
I never had much trouble with dems when I was breeding them. Just kept a big group, lots of rock and let them do their thing.

Yeah i need to get more females so he doesnt chase them as much.. A couple extra hiding places might help too
