toss me a vote please, and come back daily to vote again
http://bit.ly/167s3Cg
Not to sound like a whiner but,
as some of you know I have been trying my best to make positive changes, drinking green smoothies, eating lots of veggies, trying to get some daily exercising in, learning about nutrition and real organic whole foods, ditching the "diet junk" etc... and have been having very limited if any results.
I would love to go to this reboot camp, but being a full time student with a part time job,,, etc... money is tight, plus saving up for my wedding May 2014.
I have been over weight since I was 10 years old.
I have been hospitalized 5 times in the last 3 years due to health problems that are exaggerated by my weight. I need to get this under control before it causes my early demise.
Anyway,
I would love to walk down the aisle a thinner healthier man.
I'm going to do this with or without the camp but this camp could help me learn a thing or two.
Thanks.

Remember I need your votes everyday, they're going to pick someone within the top 30.
So I don't have to beat the girl with no pic that has 19000 votes, 4000 yesterday alone.... how is that even possible btw
sorry about the Facebook permission thing, it's totally obnoxious and I wouldn't have started if I knew it was set up like that, but it's important.
I just did 20 days of vegan, no gluten, no dairy, 80% raw fruits and veggies etc... and didn't loose a single pound. I tracked my cals a few days and averaged 1500. I didn't work out much because I'm sick and fighting chronic cellulitis infection in my leg.
I'm feeling better now and have been walking 2 miles a day and trying to eat whole healthy no processed diet.
I would like to do the reboot to kick start my weight loss and detoxify.
Please vote.

If you don't get it, I would recommend checking out p90x.
It is a high impact program, so if you have bad joints it's not for you. Without even using the diet program that came with it, I lost 25lbs in six weeks. I actually need to stop procrastinating and start back up. It's a hard program, but it does work.

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” – Mark Twain

Losing weight is not as hard as one would think as long as you put your mind to it. I was overweight for the past 10-15 years. I'm 6'6" and Feb of 2012 I weighed 397lbs. I made the decision that I was tired of being fat and out of shape so I put my mind to losing the weight. I didn't go on a crash diet or any strenuous program like px90 or anything crazy like that. I simply changed the way I eat to a healthier way. I cut out all the chips and junk food, cut out the chocolate and baked goods, switched from white breads to whole bread, and switched from regular cheese to fat free cheese, as well as started simply walking between 3-6 miles per week.
With in less than a year I lost almost 150lbs and went from 397lb to 250lbs which is where I am at today. Just keep your mind to it and make the decision that you want to live a longer and happier life and you can do it.
Steve

how old are you Steve, because I did all that over a year ago and have continued to gain weight.
-
I am 41 yrs old right now (will be 42 in December) so I'm not a young guy who's metabolic rate burns real fast ;) Are you counting your calorie intake per day? because that is very important. When I lost the weight I started writing down the calories for everything I ate no matter how small it was, because you'd be amazed at just how many calories can add up through a day when you "graze" as they call it. While I was losing the weight I set a limit of 1,200 calories per day for 6 days a week and then on the 7th day I allowed myself about 2,500 calories. The reason for that is because your metabolism will "adjust" to the low calorie into so having one day per week where you eat more helps to somewhat jump start your metabolism and keep it from leveling off.
-
ok thanks. I'll get back to keeping track of everything again. I'm just so frustrated right now. Something is wrong, a lot is wrong but something in particular is causing me to not loose weight. Stress and my Testosterone levels being so low. They're giving me injections now every 2 weeks because they were so low.
-
Hang in there. Just keep track of the calories and try to stay between 1,200-1,500 and you should start losing. Try to mix in some walking and other light exercise as well (nothing to strenuous though at the begining).
I know it feels like a real daunting task at first but stick to it and you should start seeing results as long as you stay in the proper calorie range and try to do a little walking. The first 40-50lbs are the hardest, but after you drop around 50lbs then that really helps to motivate you to lose even more. Keep me posted on how you are doing.
