Title: gold ocellatus
Post by: Dan K on April 22, 2013, 09:50:30 PM
This is my first go around with these guys so I welcome any info I can get......
I saw my first fry on April 4th and a second appeared about the 11th from a different female and shell. Then in the next week I began to see a few more. By the 15th I was counting a dozen in there and now I see 15+ with many of them way smaller than the first few that emerged.
Do they hatch out over a period of a few weeks or could I be having repeat spawns this quickly? There are just the two females and a male adults in there.
Thanks,
Dan

No experience with this species yet, but my best guess is the male spawned with the females at two or more different times.
