Title: been out of the hobby for a long time
Post by: greg y on April 22, 2013, 01:31:38 AM
been out of the hobby for a long time

My neighbor set a 29 gal nano out on the curb and now I'm thinking about setting it up.

It's clean and holds water :-)

Was thinking some live plants and maybe some rams or something????

Good to be here.

Welcome.  What are the dimensions on the tank?  That will help us recommend fish.

Welcome, glad you're here.  Nice pick up on the nano tank.  Plants and rams sound like a good combination; maybe a piece of driftwood, too.

yeah, I got out of the hobby about 5-8 years ago, sold everything.

This Nano Cube is smaller than I first thought.

It's about 19" wide across, 16 " front to back and 17" tall
The top inch seems to leak too, so maybe it's not safe?

It's just the tank and I found a piece of glass that works for a lid.
If I bought a mj1200 for the back and some foam blocks that could work for filtration area right? Maybe some plastic scrubbers for bio filtration?
Then I would only need heat, lights and decor
