Looking forward to seeing the photos. Hope everyone had a great time. Saw Jeff's fishroom a few days ago...one of the best-engineered I've seen.

I had such an awesome time today. This was my first fish tour. Seeing all the set ups and new fish rocked. Thanks for the great day everyone. I learned soo much. Especially how much I love my Tropheous and can't wait for them to breed. :)

Awesome. thanks for the photos.

Thanks to everyone that opened their homes, I enjoyed getting a chance to see the setups. After seeing Josh's basement, I've decided I should buy stock in DTE (at least until he consolidates everything into a room instead of his whole basement). ;D

Thanks for posting them! I'll definitely have to go next time.

Thanks for posting pictures Rich.
I was surprised to see that so many had lights on all the tanks. Do you normally keep the tanks lit or was it primarily because of the tour and a special effort was made?
I run my display tanks on timers. Not every tank in my fishroom has a light though. Lights from other tanks provide enough ambient lighting.

I have lights on all my tanks. They all have timers. Fishroom lights are on two hours a night. Fry tanks lights are on one hour in morning and two at night. Display tank upstairs has lights on for three hours a night.

I run my lights on timers also...usually 6-8 hours a day but may be cutting it back a bit to prevent algae growth. Plus the ones I don't look at as much don't need the light for me or the fish.

Not that I was on the tour. But all my tanks are planted so the lights are on for 12 hours a day.
