Title: Back in Business
Post by: Nick on April 19, 2013, 12:54:54 AM
I finally set up my 125 tonight after the whole moving experiment. Anyone have relatively inexpensive suggestions? Someone needs to talk me out of it before I go to the dark side and get some south Americans. I'm sure Blair would be happy. I have to admit. I think a few varieties would look good under the driftwood I have soaking.

What do you want?  A bunch of activity, but no personality?  Or interactive, glass banging fury?  ;)
(I like the Centrals, not the Souths - BTW )

Go check out Soldans....  They always seem to have Texas for cheap.

Apparently Jeff and I have a different idea of what's inexpensive. Lol

I like centrals and Madagascar cichlids. Just wondering if anyone on the tour or anyone coming to the tour has anything cool in one of those categories to sell. Hopefully some not pet store common.

For "Glass Banging Fury" it's hard to beat a full-grown parental male Caquetia umbriferus.

"Glass Banging Fury". Yes. Do you really want fish that could break the tank, causing thousands of dollars in water damage?!

I'll stick with the much more pleasant (and colorful) old world species.  8)

Uh-Oh...Why do I feel like I started an 'East Vs. West' feud. Can't we all just get along?....Or put everyone's fish Jeff's 500g and see who makes it.

"...and if all the cool kids jumped off the roof, would you jump off the roof too?"  (Ha Ha, couldn't resist this parental line from my childhood.)

If remember correctly, the cool kids spend their money on stuff they dont actually want and usually is usually not worth the expensive price tag but they go along with it because it has a special name....I feel like im going to give a lecture to our 13 year old daughter.

My first love is still tropheus but i'm waiting for the right group at the right time. Plus I figured this would be a good time to try something new. And I wanted something that will look good with the driftwood floating in the tank.

The Pikes I am defiantly interested in. After seeing those at last years fish room tour it really got me thinking about trying some out. Beautiful fish.

Anyone that appreciates pikes is a cool kid, no matter at what age.  Even Jeff...just sayin'.
