Title: Ask not what your fish club can do for you
Post by: JeffroM on April 06, 2013, 11:00:48 PM
Ask not what your fish club can do for you.  Ask what you can do for your fish club.  -John F. Kennedy
(Its on the internet so it has to be true)

Seriously though.  What would everyone like to see the MCA do in the future?  More speakers, speakers on what topic, field trips, events, all expense paid collecting trips to SA or Africa, etc. ?

Ideas people.  Start shooting out ideas.

I haven't given it any thought till now.  There are definite pros and cons though.  Pro being getting our message out to many more participants.  Con being similar to what the NFL is experiencing, why go to the game when I can see it from the comfort of couch.  Definitely worthy of discussion though.

Maybe a webcast, but a blackout for those that live within a certain distance. Also, maybe paying for webcasts. (why watch online when I can attend for free?)

More discussion would be needed of course.

We are going to make a family trip there one of these days.

I keep hearing about it and cant wait to make it.  A big group would also be a nice idea.  Can do it all in one day, so no hotel stay would be needed.

Even something small... anyone have a house capable of accommodating 20 people?  Order some pizza, put Jaws or some other cheesy "fish" movie on the TV.
