Title: Petco $1 per gallon

Haven't been there yet but I did just hear from a fellow fish friend that emailed me and said that Petco started the $1 gal sale today through April 27th. I know someone here recently said they were waiting for it to start so figured I would pass the info along.

Are those prices only for the 10, 20 and 40 gal tanks?

Per the ad, yes.  Usually that includes 20H and 20L.  They only sell the 40B, no 40L.  So, at worst you would not be able to get a 55 for the dollar a gallon.  Sometimes they include it though even if it's not in the ad.

I sure "wish" they would include the 40 Long Tank as well.  8)

Buy one in every size then you will have saved money for later when you decide you need one of each in various spots around your house.  ;)

Me too.

AFAIK no one sells the 40 long any more (of the chain stores).  The smaller LFS will order them in for $80+.  I found my last one used on CL...the 45/50 long is a bit better IMO if your stand allows it to get a bit more water volume without much more height (18-19" vs 16-17").  Too  bad the 40Ls are not sold regularly any more though for when you want length but not height.
