To go along with the previous post!
What is the BEST air Wand, Stone or other that provide A LOT of bubbles?
IMO I prefer lots of tiny bubbles as oposed to larger bubbles.
Looking for something that spands 12" or so...

I only use them to drive my sponge filters, FWIW.
As far as air wands...every one I've tried (all used, came with various tanks on CL etc) has broken fairly quickly - clogged up or else cracked, possible because of being old.
Easier thing IMO is to drop the water level a 1/2 inch and use an Aquaclear HOB if you want lots of micro bubbles. :)

How do you airate your tank? Do you see your fish gasping a lot?

85 gallon and 140 gallon I have canisters and hang ons. Thats it. All fish are fine.
Smaller tanks, just hang on filters. All are fine.
As long as there is surface agitation, they arent needed in my opinion.
I have never used air pumps. OK, so maybe when I was a little kid for treasure chests and divers, etc. 8)

I don't use air pumps either, except in my 10g. My other tanks I have the spraybars creating enough surface agitation where a don't need a bubbler.

I got some ceramic ones online and they last and last. Don't crumble or plug up like others. Plus they are inexpensive. Here's the link.

I like the bubbles. Very soothing.
