Hi, This is the first time trying to grow out fry. 2 of my Aulonocara Red Rubens had been holding for about 2 weeks. When I cleaned the tank out today, I tried to catch the females and put them in a hang on breeding box. This wasn't successfull (they were really quick). Anyway, the fry were spit out by 1 of the females and I was able to get about 10 into the box.
Question, when and what do I start feeding them?
Thanks

As long as the yoke sack is used up & gone then they can eat normal type food

You can use frozen baby brine shrimp, ground up flakes, or you can hard boil and egg and squeeze some yolk into the water.

Thanks. How often to feed them?

I usually feed my fry twice a day. Morning and evening and maybe a third time mid-day during the weekend.

I had one fry live earlier in the year because it hid in the holey rock. It must have gotten by eating "leftovers" that fell to the bottom of the tank.

& make sure to do frequent water changes removing all the waste.

I feed mine 2x a day as well. Crushed flakes, NLS (too cheap to buy 'grow formula), spirulina. I've never fed my fry hard boiled yolk although many ppl do.
