Title: Thick Sponge Sheets
Post by: JeffroM on March 09, 2013, 11:28:00 PM
Anyone know where to buy large sheets of 3" thick sponge foam suitable for wet dry filters?  Craft stores?  Also how to you cut that stuff?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yeah, craft store, ebay, all kinds of places. Open reticulated foam.

A razor works fine.

The same place I was gonna recommend...it's out on M-59, near the Canadian Provinces.

The fine print on that link says "NOTE: Not for use in aquariums."  Is there a different type for aquariums?

Pondmaster makes some really good sponges for this sort of applications. I use them in my sump and really like the outcome.
