I thought it was a reputable company. It seemed like a well known name among gardeners.
If anyone else is planting trees/shrubs/gardens this spring I'd suggest taking your business elsewhere!
They put certain apples trees on special for $5ea, so I ordered a 1/2 dozen. Then charged me the full price of $30ea for the trees after the CC confirmation went through at checkout. $200 vs $40 is a heck of a price jump! >:(
So I called to get them to straighten out the order and refund $160.
A week later (today) I get an email that they oversold and want everyone who ordered to get one, so they're limiting the trees to 1 per order and refunding the remainder (shipping charge remained the same regardless). Talk about some shady business practices! >:(
On the bright side they did agree to cancel my order without any surcharges.
I've joked with friends about the idea of a "business" that sells a "product", holds the customers money and uses it for investments to make interest, then refunds the purchase price after a long period of delay (interest = profit), but I didn't think that they so readily existed already. :o

That is to bad Ron that nursery was very reputable years ago. On a different note are you raising meat chickens this year?

That's what I'd thought. Never again though...

I was planning to, but first I need to take inventory of what I still have in the freezer. I was hoping to avoid the mid-summer heat that I had problems with last year. If I don't do them this spring I'll have some in the fall. I'm also aiming to redo the wheel mechanism this spring before I put anything out in the tractor.
I've also been thinking about getting a few layers (probably only 3), but first need to either redo my old coop setup or build them a small tractor.

Wow that really is shady to say the least Ron. I do a good deal of outdoor gardening, plants flowers and Bonsai trees, but I can't say I have heard of that particular nursery (I usually go to Telly's nursery in Troy myself).
Places that do that sort of thing where they sell a product without it even being in hand IMO should not even legally able to do that, just way to sketchy to me. Glad they cancelled without charge for ya.
