Ive been tossing around the idea of ordering fish again online. Im thinking of guaging intrest locally "here in Alpena" to see if anyone else is intrested. Im wondering if anyone has purchased privately for themselves in the past few months. If so, were you pleased/satisfied with quality, cost, etc with your order. Thanks in advance...

While I have not purchased anything, for quite some time, aquabid is in most cases the first place I look. And when I do look on aquabid, I look for ppl in Michigan. Last purchase I made was many years ago, but everything always went fine, fish quality, shipping, etc,.
I myself am looking for some Yellow Labs right now, but shipping is out of the question due to the weather, and driving any distance is also out for me right now (health issues).
But the May 4th auction downstate, I plan to attend, and hopefully beforehand, I can work something out with someone who will also be attending, and get those Yellow Labs, and maybe some extras at the auction itself. Shipping costs are getting out of hand.
Maybe we, and any others who may be interested from up our way, could car pool to that auction or something?

I order pleco from aquabid and it was fine i would do it again.

I ordered online back in November was the most recent online fish order I did. I got 10 male peacocks & a pair of syno hybrid cats all from Billy at Cichlid Express in FL. I was very pleased with the whole transaction. Super helpful guy, high quality and healthy fish, and next day air shipped so I had them by 11am the next morning. I'd certainly order online from them again myself.
That's the only place I have ordered fish online from so far.
