Title: listless Aulonacara Jacobfrebergi
Post by: LoveTheFishies on February 14, 2013, 05:49:58 PM
This female has been listless and not eating the past 2 days.  No bloating, no fin damage or obvious ICK or fungus.  She had been bullied and chased alittle last week, but the others seem to leave her alone lately.  Suggestions?  Thanks

I don't think so.  First she's pretty small/young.  Second, I don't see anything in the mouth or jaw area.  Good thought though.

She doesn't look to be holding in the picture.

Perhaps it's just stress? Do you have a different tank you could move her to?

It could be stress, a couple of the other fish are chasing it out setting up a pecking order.  I could move her to a tank at work.  There a some yellow labs, and some miscellaneous peacocks.  They are quite a bit larger.  Shes about 2 inches, they are in the 4-5 inch range.  Do you think there would be any conflicts?  It's a 69 gallon tank with plenty of holey rock and slate.

You could use a net breeder as a respite from the larger fish.
