The room is roughly 30x40.

In total there are 28 racks, and 130+ tanks.

I am going to sell 16 of those racks, with the tanks.

I designed the racks, but had a company build them for me. I am NOT a welder. LOL

Same thing with the tanks.

Any other time when I was NOT looking for yellow labs, they are everywhere. Now that I WANT some, I find them few and far between.  AND when I DO happen across them, getting them is another story.  Sometimes it feels like I am on the moon up here. :(

I figured I would start with the basics again, since I have been out of breeding for quite some time. That's one of the reasons for me being in the forums, to get some new ideas, and catch up on things.

Nice looking room!

Love the racks.  How much did those racks cost?

Thank you.

If I remember correctly, it was about $400 each, just for the metal racks. And that was quite a few years ago. I imagine they would cost much more to duplicate, at today's prices for material and labor. Same with the tanks.

I may list 16, complete racks, with the tanks, soon. I have 28, and I think It's just too many for me at this time, and what I think it is, what I want to do. But, my ideas keep changing.   ;D

How much will you be asking for a rack with tanks?

How much will you be asking for a rack with tanks?
Per rack, $700. 8 or more, $650, with extras.

You need 2 see them in person.

Its hard to tell what size tanks are on each rack. Unless I missed what was listed on each rack as a tank list? ???

JMHO, but if you do not need the cash influx from the sale of the extra racks I would just keep them empty....you know how the hobby is addictive...you may end up wanting to expand the fish room when your schedule allows more time.

There are 4 35g and 1 70g per rack. Each tank has a full glass lid, and each tank is drilled, with an installed 3/4 threaded bulkhead.

The setup was designed to be a central drip, central drain, with each tank individually filtered, with multiple sponge filters.

Each 8 section of racks link together back to back, and side to side, with removable pieces of metal, which enable a space between the racks for air and water plumbing. When assembled, there is no movement of the racks.

Again, these are all never used, and still have that new tank smell. ;)
