I am not sure what these two fish are, the first one was sold to me as an Electric Yellow Makone Hap, the second one as a red shoulder Peacock ? Can anyone tell what these really are or do I need to wait for them to start coloring up ?

I'm pretty sure you have two females. Which means you won't ever see any color out of them. Nearly positive. The only thing that might call me a lire is there size. If there 2 inchs or bigger I would bet they are females. With the lack of any anal spots and how rounded both the anal fins are with no slight glimpse of color.

Yeah I suspected that. Luckily I got them at Bruce's Pond Shop and he said he would take back any females and exchange for males...

Yeah he knew I was setting up a all Male Show tank. Like I keep saying, Bruce's Pond Shop (aka Aquatic Treasures) is my favorite LFS....

I'll have to go back when the usuals are working.
Just too damn far for me.
