Congrats.  My aureums have been breeding a lot lately too...close relative of your firemouths.  Any success breeding your rainbow cichlids?  At least I think I saw them in the tank.

I'm going to try splitting one of my pairs off and try them alone in a 20 for a while, see what happens.  I wonder if they're too docile to compete with firemouths or the Honduran red points etc I have had them with.  Will let you know if that works.

Thanks, That would be great. I have been wondering the same thing as well. How big are yourse? Mine are around 2.5-3.5 inches, and I was wondering at what size they generally begin to start having fry.

Thanks, That would be great. I have been wondering the same thing as well. How big are yourse? Mine are around 2.5-3.5 inches, and I was wondering at what size they generally begin to start having fry.

Mine are 3-4 inches also.  I think they should be ready since max size is only 5-6 inches.
