Post by: Helloitsme on February 05, 2013, 05:27:38 PM
So, when I bought the 100 it came with this big a** filter that is way to complicated for me to figure out. On Thursday I am going to put all the pieces on a tarp and take some pictures of it ,  post them here and see what you all think it is. You've been warned!

What you have is a wet/dry sump. Made by life guard.  Price depends on the return pump if it has one the sump looks like a deacent size. Id you know size of the tube in the hob over flow. Canb get a prety good idea what size tank its good for

Yeah, I know. The rest of the set-up is pretty high end so, I'm thinking the filter might be a pretty good one.

With wet/dry sump filters. They are mostly the same in design just some smaller and some bigger in size. If its big enough you can put a auto top off on it and not have to wory about your main tank water levwl just add water to the sump as needed. Also can put your heater in there take some of the clutter out of your main tank. They are excelent. Bio filtration and also work as a surface skimmer. Some people swear by them I used to use one but was offered a good price fvor mine and sold It andt got a FX-5. The price will only be able to be determined by the brand of pump how many GPH it will

GPH it will handle. Looks like there is 4 U-Tubes. There ? How come you don't want to use it they are very simple. You should be able to sell it prety quick. Just look up the pump and sell it for the price of the pump new. Should cover the rest of the equipment being as it is all used.  If the price is rite I may be interested in it. Where about are you located?

I measured the two hoses on the hob overflow, the smaller one is just under 3/4" the larger one is 1" (inside diameter on both).

So you two are each other's "French Models?". It's on the internet now so it must be true.
