;D
I have spent more time and money on fish, tanks, food, etc. since joining this forum. Damn you all! All I wanted was a nice 50 gallon with some active, colorful Africans in it.
Now 4 tanks later (a few more than likely coming)... and 75+ fish... here I am.
Thanks to Google images also... I would be lost trying to find out what the hell some of the fish you guys are talking about are.
It is nice having a common hobby with the wife... even though, I think we need an intervention soon.

Haha, I hear ya. My husband came home with a bunch of books from the library about furniture making. He's all twitchy to make aquarium stands and canopies now. We had fun making a spray bar for our FX5 last night. I am hoping the fish aren't being bothered by that much current. We were both standing there and I was like, how do you know if they are happy?

They swim around with big smiles on their faces. And/or buy you a gift card for a nice dinner as a thank you.

If they are swimming , they are happy ! ;D ;D ;D

Ken - I hear ya, I am already starting to plan out my 2nd 55 peacock tank, the 1st just finished cycling 3 weeks ago and it is now STOCKED with Peacocks and Haps. My goal is to get a 125 and employ the background techniques from Steve's posts and also do an elaborate stand, hood and background. I wonder if Steve would be willing to do classes on how to do the backgrounds. His stuff is just amazing !
Also - I do not expect to have any discresionary income for the next couple of years because of getting back into this hobby ! Hopefully I won't tap into the kids college funds or I may have to start looking for a lawyer... ;)

HaHa. I agree. Started with bow front 69gal. Now have 60 gal at home as a hospital/new fish tank. Going for a 72x18x22 (or26) built in room divider show tank.

Clearly this is not a forum suitable for an intervention...we all have serious "fishues". Now I'm evaluating the wisdom of adding another bank of rearing tanks for all the fry I usually don't bother saving. I'm gonna raise and sell fish and get rich! (spiraling down, out of control.)

LMAO!
Serious question.... How many of us have used the "make some money raising fry" excuse for setting up another tank, after getting bitched at by the wife?

Wait a minute, what if we seriously mean it? :) And $2 per bag of fry is still money, right?

Cough Cough, I took over the biggest room of the house "the master bed room " and turned it into my have all fish room, And just recently decided I'm going to completely redo it this spring/summer and have mapped out whats I'm doing final room will have 2200 gallons running in it a big change from what it is currently running 1200, I keep taking tanks down to prep for this over haul Im getting ready for.
Oh yea I'm in the market for 4x180 gal tanks and would like 3x- fx5's
It will be really funny when I have running fish tanks in the back yard while I redo the floor and other things to the room while its empty.
I might just put a bunch under my car port for a month and see how the fist like the out side.
