Im wondering if anyone has any experience with this supplier of fish. This I believe is out of Florida, I ask because the guy at the local pet store is planning on ordering from there. Figured I would see if anyone knows much about them?

Just about as good as A-pet. Well not as good. They will send hormoned fish even though they say they are not and it seems the quality of the fish they get is not always the best. Tell them to look into going through sea dwelling creatures I looked over there list really quick yesterday and they have freshwater on it.
Another thing they are know for is sending you stuff you didn't order or sending you empty bags of just water and billing you for the fish that were not in said bags.

Ahh I see. I have seen some pretty nice fish at PetSmart over the last couple years.. Just figured I would get a little info.

If they want to drive 2 hours south I can set you up with a breeder who supplies fish to a lot of reputable places one being preuss pets in lansing. For what they will pay it would be worth it to me

There's someone 2hours south of Alpena? That doesn't get you very far, Maybe Bay City area or so. Where are they located? I might let them know at the store. It would sure be nice for them to get off on the right foot. Hell I might be intrested myself if thats the case only 2hrs south... ;D ;D

Petsmart.... ugh... the Walmart of the per world.
I only go to Petsmart as a last resort. I will gladly pay more for a fish or filter just to get it at a privately owned store.

I have quite a few friends that own stores and they have all been burned by Segrest at one time or another...some of them more than once which is why they avoid them like the plague now.

I thought about the whole north and south thing. I feel as the people in the south would be jealous of amount of fun we have at our meetings. I have heard that once you pass ann arbor Michigan starts to look a lot like Canada.
I would be down for it. We could have meetings in our basements and garages at first then as we expanded we could move to a bigger place and do more activities. It would also be another good way to expand to different people who are not aware this exists.
Plus I got a ton of fire works yet we could always get together and blow up.

Ann Arbor... thats WAY south. Michigan doesnt look like Canada till you cross the bridge.
