i saw last night a wild caught green oscar for sale has any 1 ever heard of a green oscar before

Chances are it was dyed to be that color so.it would be virtually impossible for it to be wild caught. But I could also be wrong. The add has been taken down so its even harder to tell

Oscars are one of my favorite fish. I had some F1's not too long ago. They were a bit more "greenish" than what you would typically find in the pet trade today. If I recall correctly the guy I got my F1's from acquired his wild caught stock from Jeff Rapps.

I was suprised that there wasn't a single oscar at the auction. I guess they are just too common for people to bring?

It still could've been WC.  They could've caught it & then dyed it.

It was probably some idiot that caught it down in Florida tho.

If I recall correctly the original description of the Oscar referred to it as being "olive" in color. Dang it, now you are making me want Oscar's again! They are on my  "I Swear I'll Never Have Those Again" fish list...
