Title: 5ft tanks
Post by: RichE on January 21, 2013, 10:03:17 AM
Is there a market for 5ft tanks, I know they don't pop up very often, but I am thinking of selling mine so I can use the space for other tanks Its 5ft long 26" high 18" deep, like new up and running as I type this(thick glass)

Thanks

Rich

IMO there is...  I'd rather have a 5' than a 4'

IMO 5' is a screwy size and I own one.

Above 30", tank lengths that measure an even number of feet in length are best.  ;D

If I had a extra foot to work with I could fit a 50 breeder next to it and I would keep it, but since I have only just over 6 feet to work with that wont work.

The situations I get my self into LOL

That's when you take a 20H & stick it sideways on the end.  ;)

I would love to swap a 5' tank where my 4' is... just dont have the room.

But... I MIGHT in the kitchen.  But, that tank was supposed to come late summer.

You know what I paid for my 5 foot acrylic Rich and it came w/ everything. I didn't think I'd ever find a used one.

I was just talking to some one about trying to find a 5' tank to replace my 90g I think there a perfect size.  6'  seems to big for a lot of the walls in my home with closets and other storage and 4'  well there only 4'.  Unfortunately  I don't have money right now which can be a probably when trying to buy things.

5's up here are not too uncommon for me to hear about. A buddy of mine has a 5ft 150 he paid maybe 1000 bucks for new with overflows. We are also getting 1 or 2 5 ft tanks into the store that will be glass tanks so it will be cheaper. It all depends on what sizes we are going to get one is going to be a 130 or something weird like that. There are also a couple 7 ft tanks I know of as well.
